Discovery Education

Senior Interaction Designer and Art Direction

My core responsibilities with Discovery Education are to create and maintain creative direction over project Orion. Working with a small team of around 13 people we're currently building a new tool for educators and schools to be soft released mid October and formally in January.

The following series of images are from the assignment flow of Orion. Teachers can view, manage and edit assignments from here. Students can do the same but with limitations on scope and access.

This series of screens are from the canvas view of Studio. This is where users can edit, create, and collaborate. Users can add elements from their devices, the internet, or their private quicklist from within Discovery Education.

A quick look into part of how we deliver specs for new designs. New designs have to have clear goal, meet that goal, rationalize why a new pattern should be introduced, and go through a process.

New designs have to have clear goal, meet that goal, rationalize why a new pattern should be introduced, and go through a process. It's because of this reason that much of my job is to prototype UI for solutions and quickly iterate through different patterns and test cases. We run these through internal reviews, user testing and then back for analysis for another round of revisions.

These are some outputs for various additional work I've done at Discovery Education.
